Dear Clayarters,

I thought I would send my reply to Bob to Clayart. I have also sent it
to him as a BCC (Blind Carbon Copy). =20

And, as you can see by the headers, I sent a copy to Fusion too. =20

Dear Bob,

It was the annual conference and workshops weekend of Fusion: the
Ontario Clay and Glass Association of Ontario. Next year it will be
held in Hamilton. By linking to Fusion's website:=20

http://www.clayandglass.on.ca/

you can check this out next winter after the start of the New Year.=20
Maybe you can ask to be notified by e-mail or regular surface mail when
major events are to be held. =20

I drive through Ohio several times a year, but usually via Detroit and
Toledo to Cincinnati. Still, I may go via PA and Cleveland sometime in
the future, as I understand Cleveland has a lot to offer to its visitors
too. =20

By the way, Fusion has workshops at other times of the year and this
Spring Dannon Rhudy was brought to two Ontario guilds to give a weekend
workshop. Hamilton was one and Cornwall, just West of Montreal was the
other. =20

Less useful for you, unless you are used to travelling to the outskirts
of Toronto are the Saturday morning 2 hour workshops at the Gardiner's
Cottage.=20

These are given by highly-qualified Ontario potters and might include
anything from Teapot - making to colour line blending to building a Raku
kiln. =20

Most of the recent workshops are being filmed on video camera, and may
be available for loan to members (membership not excessively high
cost.) =20

The workshops are "free" but donations to defray expenses are welcomed,
of course. =20

Dear Helen,
Thank you so much for this information. I am in Painesville, Ohio; just
east of Cleveland and make it up to Toronto about three times a year. I am
a raku artist and work in functional stoneware. We have several clay
guilds in the Cleveland area and many galleries. The Cleveland museum of
art is very good. If you are coming this way let me know and I'll send a
list.
