The kiln we use at my school is coated with ITC 100 and in use for 2 years.
No flaking. No spitting onto glazeware.

We are building a fiber Raku kiln and are planning on coating the inside =
fiber with ITC 200. We have heard rumors that the coating can begin to =
flake off the ceiling onto the pots. Can anyone share their =
experiences?

ITC 200 is used for brickrepair, castable and fiber material repair. ITC 100
is the base coat used first and 296A would be a better top coat. The fiber
should be compacted first.

I thought that one of the advantages of Fibre is that it is highly
insulating. Wouldn't compacting remove the air that creates the insulating
effect?
