slides-another question

Speaking of slide labeling, I've used Avery labels made for slides and
put them through my printer. It's easier to read the information than me
writing on the slide. I guess my question is, do these lables cause the
slide to get stuck in the slide carousel or are they ok to use. Do
jurors prefer one way over the other?

Connie,
Avery slide labels are okay in that they do not (or in my experience) have
not caused a slide to stick. However, they are not archival, and they
will begin to yellow with age, and the glue will give -- as the label
starts to come off, then it may get stuck. Make sure you get the label on
just right, so that it does not go beyond the edge of your slide.

what i find works better for marking slides is to use a fine point marker.
on plastic slides if you need to change the info for different fairs it comes
off with a cotton ball slightly damp with alcohol.

I have one of those Brother P-touch electronic label makers--the tape is very thin
and adheres very smoothly. Does this sound like a good alternative to my rather
unattractive handwriting?
