Lori, I am not sure that I understand your question.The copper red
artificial reduction glazes I listed are to be fired to cone 9 on a
porcelain body in an electric kiln. Apply a somewhat thick coat of the
glaze to your ware. Fire as you ordinarily do, and have a soak period at
the end of the firing before turning your kiln off.
If you fire in a gas kiln you can use the glaze also. To encourage
copper reds in a gas kiln I have always added 1% of fff grade silicon
carbide or preferably 600 mesh silicon carbide.to a recipe for copper
reds.
