Roseville is no mystery,
It is mined by Cedar Heights as people have said. It is a reasonable substitute
for goldart in small quanitities and has little sulphur. It was suggested as a
substitute for goldart to me when I worked for the Archie Bray Foundation. The
suggestion, by the way came from someone on Clayart, if I remember correctly.
Out to peek in my newly reworked soda kiln a.k.a. "The Beast". Gonna see if it
treated my blown apart stoneware sufficiently harshly. I believe I fired the
thing too even.
