kiln test

i did an interesting test the other day.
i have two electric kilns that i bisque fire `only` in.
no 1 is a skutt 181 that i bought in 1965.
it has its first set of new coils.
no 2 is a L@L old time, big kiln.
i added new coils, two sprays of itc 100 and one of
296a top coat.

i fired them them both last week. side by side.
turned them up the same. long firing.
the big kiln, with twice as many pots fired in one hour less
time than the old skutt.

i realize this is not a perfect scientific test, and i have always
used skutts with a great deal of satisfaction. (great people at skutt)
but, just wanted to report the facts as they fall.

that twenty year old L@L is like a brand new axner `wonder kiln`.

(i do not get anything from itc. just happen to love the product.
it has never failed any test that i have given it.)

ITC, what exactly is it, where do I find more detailed information about this? I
tried to find more in the archives but nowhere did I find the information I need to
give to my supplier here so that maybe he could import it to Thailand. He promised
to check it out if I could give him more information and an address.
