Hi,
I would check with a propane distributer. One that fills tanks for
commercial company's( large tanks) I got my hose and regulators there
for a very reasonable price. I'm in California, if it makes a
difference. Mike

Hi Pam, When I needed to replace my hose to my raku burner, I took it to Goodyear
Rubber products. They mostly repair hydraulic hoses for tractors, loaders, back
hoes etc, but they will have what you need and more. They also have steel banding
with compression joints , in case your in the mood to build a kiln from scratch.
They won't be familiar with raku, so be sure to take your parts with you that you
need to connect together. If there is no Goodyear Rubber Co. near you, then I'm
sure there are some local companies that repair hydraulic hoses nearby. I paid $20
to replace the 12ft of hose with the fittings. I waited while they made it up for
about 15 minutes. Facinating place.

Good Luck Ken

I am trying to set up my raku kiln as the place where I raku usually
discourages firing in the summer ( it does get really hot here ). I spent
all day a couple of weeks ago calling around town and beyond for the
regulator/flex hose line et al and got nowhere. Ended up talking to a nice
knowledgeable guy in Minnessota who said he would ship me the parts ( he was
a supplier for some Propane place in Riverside ,Ca.) I haven't heard from
him since. It got to be ridiculous -- I know these parts are out there. I
didn't feel that I was asking for anything that unusual .( I found flex line
at Home Depot , but they want 35.00 for 6 feet!!!-- it's set up for a
bar-b-que )
Is there a special place out there that sells this stuff? I went the
hardware / propane / gas /welding route -- is there another way? I have the
burners and the tank and the shutoff valve, I need the stuff in between. I
believe I need a high pressure regulator -- that was part of the problem.
Can anyone help me ? Thanks so much pamalab
