Hi, well Mishy ive been learning Blacksmithing. Ive been making hooks. The
hooks i make are big for hanging chain and tools. I have also made some
tongs. I want to make some more tongs. The ones i made were for holding hot
metal.I usually blacksmith on Thursdays at "The Choo Choo Forge"in
Chattanooga Tenn.
I know that some craft schools have Blacksmithing.
I will try to make some Raku Tongs this week.

We live in a farming area and I just took a picture and description from
Peipenburg's raku book to a nearby tractor loader manufacturing place.
Probably didn't hurt that my husband is a regular customer, but they made me
a great, heavy duty pair for $15. I am really new to raku, so don't have
much to compare by, but they seem to do the job! I don't think it hurts to
investigate small metal working places like that, they usually know their
stuff.
