this workshop would be just the thing for anyone interested who has any
chance of getting to Denmark in the late summer / autumn.

"Ceramic Prints" Workshop with Paul Scott and Rimis VisGirda
3rd - 13th September 2000
International Ceramic Center - Skaelskor, Denmark
In this "low tech" workshop participants will learn about different
printing techniques on clay using computers, copy machines and graphic
methods.
The "hands-on" program includes:
Color and line: use of underglazes on eathernware and porcelain with
discussion of applications to 3D form; wax-inlay, direct drawing and
painting with underglazes, lusters, china paints and combinations of
these.
Print: Monoprinting, principles of transference and transfer materials,
pottery tissue.... Mixing ceramic inks....making paperclay and its use
in the print studio... use of photocopier.
Screen printing and Ceramic Decals: Participants will create their own
decals ....direct printing on clay, health and safety issues, water
based alternatives ....
Price Dkr 2.800 (Danish kroner) including accomodation. Meals,
materials and firings are not included.
