Check out Jack Troy's latest book Wood fired Stoneware and Porcelain. Not only is
it a great resource for wood firing in general, it's also got a good bit about
anagama kilns specifically. He should know, he's got one at the school where he
teaches as well as his own personal one at home.
Enjoy!

Hi.
I'm looking for some infos about anagama kilns. If someone can help me,=
I'll be very happy!!!
Go to your favorite web search engine and type in "anagama" (ana=3Dhole =
gama=3Dkiln) and you should get a bunch of references. BTW........ my
current favorite web search engine is alltheweb.com
Not much written in English in books on this specific subgroup of
kilns...no one specific text just on them (yet)........... parts in most =
of
the standard kiln books. Check Olsen's "the Kiln Book" for some, a tiny
bit in Rhodes "Kilns". There is a Japanese language book that is SOLELY
about anagama (that is the title too).....but unless you read the languag=
e,
it would be pretty useless to you (the pictures and diagrams might be of
interest). Check the ceramic magazine indexes for Ceramics Monthly, Clay=
Times, Studio Potter, Ceramics Technical, and so on however...... there
have been lots of articles on anagama fired ceramics in the past 20 years=
.
Hope this is a start....... I'm sure you'll get other answers too.
Best,
