you can get this, called pumice, from any ceramic supplier. add it to your
clay 20-50% max by volume. it feels too dry if too much. wedge or better,
mix in water and add to wet sloppy clay before it evaporates. its for
thermal shock, without the grit of grog. i find the pueblo potters very
willing to share. you can know it, but it doesn't mean you can do it! shelley

So it seems this would be good in Raku or pit firing. Any other type of
firing, type of clay, temperatures? I like the idea of not having the
roughness on my thin-skinned fingers from grog!
