Hi Mo

It is not quite easy to give you a final reason and solution, the symptoms
you describe give me
the feeling that something is wrong with the supply of Oxygen.
1 Look for the burner ports are they big enough ( are your burners not to
close or in the port)
2 What about the chimney ? I an obstruction or deformation of the port in
the kiln will give you problems
3 If the burners are of the bunzer type you have to start with a basic
pressure of 0.200 bar with regulation on the
burner , when the tap is completely open start to increase the pressure very
gentle.
If the burner is of a ventury type the starting pressure has to be +/- 1.2
bar and the air intake adjusted on a
way that the flame is stable and bleu/ yellow colour.

The fact that there is no problem for reduction confirms me that the oxygen
supply is at the basis of the problem.

Good luck
Jan
