bargain price on book "hands in clay"

Hi all,

I've been buying books for years from a flyer sent by Edward R. Hamilton,
Bookseller in Ct. He buys remainders, publisher's closeouts, etc. He does
not do billing or accept credit cards but if they are sold out, he sends a
check. This as a preface to saying that this week I received my copy of
"Hands in Clay" by Speight and Toki. I have heard many people on this list
say they really liked this book, so ordered it. It is a large paperback,
full of ceramic history with black & white photos, and a section of color
photos in the middle. Also very complete how-to section on throwing,
handbuilding and glazing, and glazes. I've only had a chance to glance
through it, but it's worth way more than the $7.95 plus shipping I paid. I
waited to share this until I got a new catalog, and it's still in there.
Also found out they have a website, and when I looked today they had about a
dozen pottery books for sale. Their site is: http://EdwardRHamilton.com

Of course for a complete selection of pottery books , "The Potter's Shop"
in Needham MA seems to have everything. (no affiliation to either)

All the best,
Ann Brink in CA

Gavin,

If you want something from them, buy it and have it sent to me; I'll send it
on to you. :)

That was or is a good bookmark for Book Sources. Thanks alot. It's little
information like that that really makes this list great.

Edward R. Hamilton now has a division that sells on the web and accepts
credit cards. Not all of the catalog books are on the web and vice versa
(if there are only a couple books left, they will be on the web, but not in
the catalog). Their address is: http://www.hamiltonbook.com . Their
shipping is slightly more than the mail order, but comparable to the other
on-line booksellers.

Alas, this is for US residents only: they do not ship outside of the US
postal zone.
