'Lo, All --
Am getting ready to build a chimney for an indoor gas kiln. When the stack
goes through the roof, I want to put in an elbow to route gasses/heat away
from a nearby hemlock.
The nice man at the woodstove shop says that I can't end a stack with an
elbow, that it must end with a section going straight up; he didn't know
why, tho'. Is he blowing smoke (pun intended), or is he right, perhaps for
proper draw?
TIA,
anne & the cats, in Sequim
