Perhaps these are hardback first editions in mint condition signed by =
their respective authors. Who would ever know why any company might =
choose to charge a particular price.
amazon.com are a listed company and in there to make a profit for =
shareholders. I would not expect them to behave like a charity and give =
rare books away. I like their prices. Justifies purchases made when I =
could offset book costs as a legitimate expense against tax. Also, such =
high prices are an indication of the perceived value to the ceramics =
industry.
