Dear Steve,
Matt and I did the bike trip from La Meridiana to San Gimignano one day.
-about two hours each way. beautiful. I think the hills in Tuscany could
be in West Virginia. You need a mountain bike with no less than 19
gears. In Certaldo, I really liked the Coats of Arms on the Town Council
Halls. They were all in Majolca. Also in San Pietro a Grado (St. Peter's
arrival site to Italy) the 11th C. church was decorated with Islamic
looking Majolica plates.
Glad to hear you enjoyed Italy.
