kiln light bulb danger warning

"The light bulb in the back of my kiln has melted how can i change
it?"

Well James, this is a serious problem as I'm sure you realise. The
light bulb controversy has been mentioned before, check the archives
going back as far as 1823, and bear in mind the potential health
hazards are enormous, so be careful, make sure you are wearing the
right sort of mask (with vaseline lining), dark glasses, and a hat.
Best to check that it is not one of the French light bulbs which work
the other way and keep things cool, or do I mean the Spanish ones
that are much hotter, anyway, as long as the instructions are in
English you'll be ok. If it's a stoneware light bulb then it might
be best to call in an expert to deal with it, electrician, vet,
whoever.

Oops, got carried away there I think. I LOVED the list lightbulb
changing joke and I shrieked with laughter at James's question. It's
been a messy old week at the word factory, so this was just what I
needed to bring me back to the REAL world!

Thank you all, merci, grazie, baie dankie, all that and more.
