Hi Joyce,

I'd like to know what brand of kiln and model number you're
referring to? I have recently had a problem with a kiln that was
rated for cone 10 but all indications are that elements for cone 8
were installed at the factory instead (ie. resulting in the kiln only
drawing 45 amps instead of 63). It has taken me over a year to
figure out what the problem was (who knew?!!!) and cost me a
small fortune in lost work and various other expenses...not to
mention the stress involved!!
