Hi!
Links to some non-English pottery glossaries(including a Spanish
one) can be found at:
http://www.claystation.com/tech/charts.html
There's a Japanese glossary at:
http://www.japanesepottery.com/Database/glossary/glossary.htm
There's a lot of great stuff out there if you can learn to use
the search engines efficiently. Check out the tutorials at:
http://www.searchenginewatch.com/resources/tutorials.html
http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/TeachingLib/Guides/Internet/FindInfo.html
(I found these and others by typing
"search engine" AND tutorial
into infoseek( www.infoseek.com) - all small letters).
Learn to use Boolean logic(AND, OR and NOT). Learn about using
the + and - signs and quote marks. Try a lot of different search
engines to see how the results differ(there are lists of search
engines in some of the tutorials above.I like infoseek, northernlight,
yahoo and altavista). Then, learn to think up lots of synonyms for
what you're looking for!
Happy Searching,
Taube Wilson
Annandale,Va.
