in the annapolis area there are a couple of places you might want to check. St.
Johns College has clay classes with a good instructor, also, Anne Arundel
Community college. neither of these has a pug mill. also there is Md. Hall for
the creative arts, and soon to be Chesapeake Center for the Creative arts.
The Potters' Guild of Annapolis is an active group of potters who meet I think 6
times a year and have two sales. several of us teach a little on the side and
could work out time for you perhaps.
I have a pug mill and it is wonderful, I like my clay a bit on the softer side,
and it makes reclaim easier.
