Takaya Kaido asked me to post his mail for him.
He wrote it in Japanese and I translated it for him.
Aiko
Here it is:
Hello friends in the Clayarts community.
My name is Takaya Kaido and live in Toyama Prefecture in Japan. I had a
wonderful opportunity
that my web site was introduced to you all by Ms. Aiko Ichimura recently.
I have received numerous feedback and mails
from members who visited my site. Your honest opinions are very appreciated
and it helped me a lot.
Without the power of the internet, this would not have happen!.
I would like to thank you and Ms. Ichimura very much.
Although my English language skill is very poor, I felt
Art is an universal language through this exchange
of mails. I was very excited and happy that I had opportunities
to communicate with fellow potters of the world. How romantic!
I would like to invite you all to my site again in September
because I do update it monthly.
I also show my wood block prints in addition to my pots.
I wish you all a great success in your artistic endeavors.
Sincerely,
Takaya Kaidou

Dear Aiko,
Like your friend, I also believe art is an universal lenguage (I'm
argentinian and I live in Brazil : ))! I traying to build an anagama kiln
here in Brazil, and I'm very happy for the help I´m reciveing from all over
the world. Unhappy here in Brazil, nobody have an anagama, so I don't have
nobody to ask. I send an e-mail to Mr. Shiho but I think he didn't recived
it 'cause he didn't answered me. But ok, I'm unti waiting for his
answer... I'm looking for people like your friend, who think that art is
an international language, an universal sing of the human feelings for
change experiences and techniques and this universal love for the arts!!!
Thank u very much,
Maria Pinon P Dias (20 y.o. brazilian ceramist looking for friend all over
the world!)
