I have the opportunity to pick up a small used Amaco kiln for free. I =
suspect that maybe there's not much wrong w/ it, just the art teacher =
who was using it dinna know what she was doing, so she ordered a NEW =
one. It's about 3 feet square in size, one big honkin' piece w/ a lid.
Problem is, how do I move the damn thing? Any ideas?

We used a 'come-along', UHall trailer and lots of muscle and sweat! Good
luck! Kimi

I have one of these, well an L & L of the same sort. I would suggest two teen aged boys with leather gloves and a sturdy hand truck. that is how I got mine home. My son said that it was't so much that it was heavy, but there was not a good place to grab it, and the base was
sharp, dug into his hands, also watch the doors going in and out. the doors are not all the same width. good luck. also I had to change out my outlet to a commercial one which has the plug that looks like this o_I instead of o =

I don't know the kiln you are talking about but I'm wondering if its on a
stand with horizontal bars about 4" off the floor? if so they are about the
right height for a pallet lifter to slide under. Pump it up and away you go.
The problem then is what sort of vehicle to transport it with.
