If anyone could help me, I'd appreciate it greatly.
I work in Cone 04 and Cone 5-6 clays, mostly functional pieces. Does
anyone have a recipe that would give the effect that June Kaneko's glaze
does when used over cobalt. See Ceramics Monthly, Summer, 1988 or Ceramics
Monthly, Summer, 1999, pg. 68.
Is it the clear glaze that allows the cobalt to move or is the brushing on
of the clear glaze that makes the cobalt run some. I do not want a glaze
that will run off the pot. I just want it to move some like the old chinese
(I forget the name of the ware. They are mostly antiques) blue and white
porcelain that looks smudged.
Thanks,
Raffaela

Someone once told me that Kaneko gets that result by using Vaseline as resist.
