I emailed Laguna on friday and I cant wait to find out what the problem is, I
thought some Clayarters may have had similar problems. I anxious to discover what
my problem is with my wheel and minimize the downtime.
I took my wheel to do a demo for the Vacation Bible School kids. After setting it
back up at the church the wheel did not turn smoothly.
It is turning erratically. At very slow speeds, it actuallys stops, turns, stops,
turns, stops, turns.
I've checked and cleaned the magnets in the pedal.
I've unplugged the motor from the control box to assure a good connection.
While the motor is unplugged, ( from the control box ) the motor spins freely.
When the motor is connected to the control box, you can turn the wheelhead, as the
motor makes a revolution, it seems to "catch" and then turn easily, another
revolution, "catch" then turn easily. It is the same, regardless if the wheel is
plugged in to the outlet.
Any help / advice would be greatly apprectiated.

As if its not hot enough already I've got the kiln running with a load of pinch
pots, snakes, and turtles that the VBS kids made. We all had a great time, I love
sharing clay with anyone especially kids.
