Luck must have intervened (for a change)--I'd been searching the internet,
including antiquarian book sites, with no success, for a copy of Harry
Davis's book "The Potter's Alternative" which details plans for a deairing
pug mill, among other things . Today I was browsing a book store and almost
fainted dead away when I saw they had several copies of the book, apparently
republished as a memorial to Harry Davis in 1989. The books are new, in
perfect condition complete with dust jackets and carry a price of $40 each.
(This is the jacket price, not marked up the way other clay books of that
period have been--check out the prices on the net of out-of-print clay
books, WHEW, I'm glad I never gave any of mine away.) I bought 3 copies, one
of which I want to keep but will be happy to sell the other two and/or go
back for the remainder (about 7) left on the shelf if there is interest out
there. Let me know by tomorrow if possible since I will be able to pick
them up on my way back from West Virginia to my home Maryland, otherwise I
won't be able to pick them up for a week or so.
