I finally made it to the Imperial China: The Art of the Horse in Chinese
History exhibition at the Kentucky Horse park here in Lexington
Kentucky. The highlight of the exhibit is the thirteen life-sized figures
from emperor Qin Shi Huang's terra cotta army. There were a lot of clay
objects. Most of them were horses. All of them were impressive. There
were over 300 objects of gold, clay, iron, and jade.
If you live within a couple hours of Lexington I recommend making the trip
to the horse park. The exhibit ends August 31st. Adult admission is a
steep $16 per person, but it was worth it.
