Had the pleasure of a one day demo and personal critique from Chris Gustin
while I was at at Penn State University. He is an amazing teacher and has a
fine eye. He was one of the more memorable guest artists we had at the time.
Don't miss him.

PS. We still have openings for our Mel Jacobson Workshop in State College,
PA. Sept 15, 16 and 17, go to our website for complete information.

I've just been alerted that the Anderson Ranch three-week stoneware =
studio intensive workshop waiting list has made its way down to me. So =
I need to make a quick decision. =20

1. Is there any feedback available on this particular workshop or its =
teachers, Chris Gustin and Peg Malloy?

2. Are there any special considerations or questions I should be =
asking?

3. Is anyone looking to share a ride from the Seattle area?

Thanks.

Feedback on the teachers. Chris Gustin made some of the best finger wiped
shino pieces this cowboy has ever laid eyes on and Peg Malloy makes some
very nice quiet woodfired pots. If I were you I'd run to Anderson Ranch.
I think these two in combination are bound to put on an exceptional
workshop.
cheers,
Tony

I had the pleasure of studying at Anderson Ranch for a week with Paul
Soldner and Pete Voulkos. I've been to a lot of different workshops all over
the country and Anderson Ranch is by far the coolest place I've ever
studied. I even got a grant to go there; I didn't have to pay!! Everyday at
3:00 in the afternoon Paul would take whoever wanted to go on excursions
around the area. He would bring some of his homemade wine and we would just
"commune with nature" and generally just have a great time. You will love it
there! Be sure to drive and see the Maroon Bells, probably the most
photographed mountain scene in the world. Jim Bozeman ; in hot Athens, GA
