workshop disaster and the power of clayart

updated sat 26 aug 00

Sorry folks. You only heard one side of the story. there was no such
talk about "long string of things melting and blowing up" at this
workshop. None of us have any idea of what the reality is. We have
people at my communal studio who take EVERYTHING personally and turn
anthills into mountains.

I'm not saying this is the case, I'm just saying we all only know 1
side of the story, so it's not fair to berate the workshop or the
craft school as has been going on.

I think it's not too late for them to offer
some compensation i.e. discount, free workshop,
or at least a partial refund. I always admire
people/organizations that will admit wrongdoing
and make an effort to correct or compensate.

after the long string about things melting and blowing up in
kilns....clayart has rather run this gang through the wringer.
it does show the power of clayart.

it would have been much cheaper for them to have been helpful.

I think you misread mel's comment: the long string he referred to was this
particular topic, not a chain of incidents.

The 'long string' was 'the long string about things blowing up', not a
long string of things blowing up. He was referring to postings about the
incident.

Well, we have a posting in which a situation was described. Given what
was described, I think that most of the comments were entirely fair, and
yes, I include those that I personally disagree with.

It is indeed fair to comment on the posting. If someone in the know
wishes to make known their own side of the story, we will comment on
that, too.
