I have been commissioned to make a tile mural for a kitchen. The art
piece will be surrounded by a lot of travertine tiles. Travertine is a
matt stone....very rustic look. I will need a number of colors in my
mural and am looking for a couple good glaze bases that will give me a
complementary texture to the travertine. I can add Mason stains to
achieve the colors. Gloss won't look good, but satin and matts are
better. Other easy to wipe clean surface textures would be fun (it's
behind the cooktop) Does anyone have a suggestion? I fire cone 6
oxidation.....Laguna, Dover White clay.
