Hi:
Tom Buck pointed out a totally vague area in my post about Calcining stuff
for glazes. I did not mean to imply that redart is a kaolin. It is not
and it shouldn't be calcined to 06, which is fine for kaolins. Redart
shouldn't be taken above 010 in my opinion. If you fire it to cone 06 it
will be a fused mass that can't be added to a glaze. If anyone thinks 010
is too high, let us know.
