I want to know how to transfer computer graphics to pottery in a =
efficient way.
I try with transfer paper in low temp. mode but the quality is low.

Thank you

Antonio Valls,

We have been working on a method to transfer graphics images very
efficiently to flat clay surfaces. It is efficient because in needs only
a minimum of labor and materials. It is not particularly fast, it works
at about four to eight square feet per hour depending on the number
of colorants and the graphical densities of the source art.

Here are some more details:
1. A large machine like ours can do some 96 smaller (6X8" tiles)
at a time. (table size: 8ft by 4ft)
2. If you buy the tiles/slabs you can limit your part of the process
to spraying the surface with a base glaze. (We use a HVLP sprayer)
3. The underlying bisque surfaces need not be entirely flat.
4. The metal sulfates used as Colorants are generally available economically.
(Our experience is that less than 10CC of total colorants
will be necessary per "average" tile.
5. Line art may be produced in two colors using only the high speed
floating tool.
6. Work with an extremely artful color process can be done using
the addition of a special nozzle. The "beam" from the nozzle
is a "focused mist" of only 0.070 Diameter. (This size determines
the "detail" level of the artwork.
7. Color changes will be automatic, the entire process will run to completion
entirely unattended.

The machine will not be available for at least 4 months, not unlikely that it will
take
more than one year.

We wish to work with experienced clay artists, craft centers, and perhaps
a few businesses wishing to produce high quality products.

Please write me off-list if you wish to learn more.

Sincerely,
