I am a rookie part time potter. I mixed my first glaze using saffire blue I
found in the archives . I fire in an l&l kiln with computer controls I fire
to cone 6 and I also use witness cones. I use the slow fire preset program
most of the time but I have also used the fast fire with this glaze. I use
standard 153 clay. for the glaze consistence I used the finger method and
checked it with a hydrometer and got a reading of 45. here is my problem
the color is more of a green than blue. what I would like to know is if I
increase the cobalt by 1% will I get the blue I am looking for or will it
change it to something all together different?

I would like to thank all who have responded in the past, I am sure I will
have more future questions as there no other potters in my area.
