Does anyone have a recipe for a matt, or semi-matt hunter green glaze for
cone 10? I fire reduction in a gas kiln. Any help would be very much
appreciated. Thanks, Judy

Dear Judy:
Here is my batch recipe for a matt Hunter Green that I have been working
with for about 8 years. It is quite repeatable not too reduction sensitive
and does not move unless you mix or overlap with other glazes. I use it
with an oatmeal glaze that looks pretty good.
Soda Feldspar 3000
Whiting 500
EPK 1000
Dolomite 500
Flint 500
Cobalt carb 55
Chrome oxide 110
Because of the chrome I do not use it on surfaces that come in contact with
food. I have never tested this glaze for leaching though.
Good Luck
