I don't think you did anything wrong - good idea to re-post.
I have used the Sapphire, and have long threads about it in the archives. (You
might not have heard back because those of us who use this glaze are already
frustrated with and talked out about it ourselves.)
As for the green, this glaze is very MOODY - for deeper blues, apply very thick
with room for it to run. Also, don't fire any cones higher, but put it on the top
shelf - that few extra degrees will really make a difference in color.
