Dear Clayarters,
I want to thank all of you for your great suggestions for seeing witness
cones in an electric kiln. Hopefully during my next firing I'll have more
luck seeing them. Some of the suggestions should be a big improvement over
my experience last week: lying on the garage floor (knees don't work as
well as they used to), welding glasses over my bifocals, blowing into the
bottom peep until I was probably blue in the face!
After I fire the kiln again in a few weeks, I'll let you know how it went.
Also, I'm glad the question about "LOL" was asked. I've been wondering about
that, too. I was thinking it was probably a typo for LOI, but the context
was never right for LOI.
