I just received an email from Bill Wedekind, the blind, double hand
amputee, Vietnam Veteran potter who Sylvia Shirley and I mentioned on
Clayart recently. In that email (written by his wife, Diana) mention is
made of his new web site, which he says is "really in rough stages of being
created" can be accessed at

If you need inspiration or just want to be moved by what can be done by
someone who has persevered and taken hold of himself and worked beyond his
handicaps, then do check out his web site especially the section called
"Pictures" where you can see images of his throwing.

After checking out his web site I decided to phone him. Bill said that he
"just joined the Clayart group". For those of you who may be inclined to
email him, I should advise you that he said: "Right now, my wife is
reading all the emails on the Clayart group to me and responding."
He also indicated that they would not be able to respond to emails for at
least a week or so because of other situations.

He is very much interested in glaze calculations and is thinking about
looking into a good program. Any one have a strong recommendation of a
good, comprehensive glaze calculation program as well as the source for its
purchase?
