I do not have the specific information at hand right
now, but I know that the exhibition, "Focus on
Function," will be opening around that time, Sept.
27th, at the Katherine Nash Gallery on the West Bank
campus of the University of Minnesota. You can contact
the Department of Art at 612.625.8096 for more
information.

I just sent my entry there yesterday and I know I was
late; I think the work is due there on the 20th or so,
so it makes sense that it would open that next week.

Btw, this show is a revival of an exhibition by the
same title during the late 1980's, and the plan is to
have alternate biennial shows. "Focus on Scuplture"
will be mounted in 2001, and then another "Focus on
Function" in 2002, and so on.

Hazzah to the U of M, and Margaret Bohls, the
exhibition coordinator, for putting together another
great opportunity to show good claywork.

Have fun in Minneapolis, and check out the Northern
Clay Center, near the U, as well as the Weisman Art
Museum, also on campus- designed by Frank Gehry.
