Hi Tom Sawyer,

I just came from a Don Reitz workshop at Amaco, in Indianapolis, this past
weekend. To overcome the dusty fragility of his sprayed-on glaze washes, he
adds a bit of Elmer's glue to the spray mixture.

I had asked him the same question you posted to the list yesterday, and that
was his answer. This is especially important to him when he and his assistants
are wrestling one of his large, heavy, and cumbersome sculptures into the kiln.

Overcomes the problems of dusty fragile glazes completely, he says. Sets them
quite hard on the surface allowing easy handling.
