Hi there,
I'm looking for an oxidation glaze, food safe. Don't roll your eyes in
disgust but I'd like it to look like my ginger cats' eyes.
Haven't hit delete yet? Brave soul!
I know this sounds ridiculous, you can't see my cats' eyes, but I figure
that if these two unrelated cats have such similar eyes then other ginger
tabbies might, as well. The color isn't flat gold but has flecks of lighter
yellow and darker brown in it. It's absolutely beautiful. Seems like it
would be a good summer/fall glaze.
I saw glazes close to it called Prairie Red and Adobe Red on a couple of
bowls, so I'm going to call the manufacturer but that's a long shot and I
thought someone here might know a glaze that would fit the bill.
I've looked through the archives but didn't find what I need. I found one
that sounded close but it had GBorate and I don't have any.
Thanks very much for any time and though spent on this.
