pit type firing in nj

It is pretty much the law that burning is not allowed in S jersey
except by farmers with permits and they can even be cited if
reported to the EPA by someone. Much of the area relies on volunteer
fire co. and with the density of housing it is necessary to prevent
it.
1. I would check to see if any is allowed off season at the
shore. Not sure they do but worth a check.
2. Check with Frank Gaydos about the place they were building the
anagama. It is in farm country not too far from where I live
..(Apple.....) the name escapes me.
3. Check with the pottery instructor at Perkins center for the
arts . He might have some ideas. Not sure they would allow it there
since it is in a residential area but I believe he was involved in
the building of the anagama, if it ever came to fruition.
