Someone emailed me with questions about the fumes caused by the =
galvanized steel used in metal trashcans for raku kilns. =20

My computer ate the message. =20

I will look for the article that talked about building raku kilns from =
trash cans, but my friend who works with metal does warn that the =
temperatures used for raku can be high enough to release the zinc used =
in galvanized steel... which would be toxic, indeed.

I'm no expert, but i will post to the group... how does one make raku =
kilns from metal trash cans that don't poison folks??
