Bone Ash, is the residue from bones which have been calcined by heating =
to red heat to burn away all the organic material.
Bone ash has as it's principal chemical compound Calcium Phosphate. SO3 =
would be present as Calcium sulphate. Bone ash is a relatively insoluble =
material with respect to water. It would act as a slow release =
fertiliser.
Bone Meal is bones which have been oven dried then ground to a fine =
state. It is still full of organic materials such as fats and protein. =
It can be used as a rapid acting organic garden fertiliser or as a food =
additive.
