Dear Nancy,
Thanks for the suggestion. That I have heard before with the original =
receipe. But I tested it with Colemanite instead
of G.B. and it did not work as I can see, Very underfired, very muddy =
brown. I do not chase the reds too much, so this
would not be one for me if I needed to refire it. Too big kiln, too few =
pots with that glaze. Thanks for the tip though.

I just ran this glaze through yesterday with GB in it - lovely amber, breaks well over carving, with interesting splotches of
rusty red where thickest. I'll be using it often.
