Euclid or anyone else of element fame??? Am interested in some fine
gauge kanthal wire for use in ]jewelry. I have tried some scrap element
wire, but it is too thick. While I do have a draw plate, if there is
something on the market which is already the gauge I need I will use that
instead. Too many projects to keep financially afloat these days...they
are keeping me from my beloved bottle forms and glaze making. TIA for
any info on the elements, cnc

Carolyn - I'm not sre exactly what you need, but I have some very thin wire
for firing a "hobby ceramic kit project" that was in with my friend's late
mother's supplies. Have you tried looking at some catalogs from this area
of ceramics?

If you can get it where you are Nickel Chromium (Nichrome) wire is
perfect for that job. Unlike Kanthal it stays malleable after firing.
The best way to use it is to make a clay cone with a handle on the top
and stick short lengths (2 inches) of wire into it so that it looks a
bit like a Christmas Tree and bisc fire it. THE best way of doing Raku
beads; no more sifting through the burnt sawdust for the missing ones!
