Hello fellow makers,
We can now confirm that the MIDLAND STUDIO POTTER AND CERAMICS FESTIVAL 2001
will
be taking place on July 7th & 8th 2001 at Shugborough Estate, near Stafford
Staffordshire. This event aims to present the public with one of the largest
exhibitions of Studio Potters and Ceramic Artists in the UK.
It is open to ANY potter, ceramic artist, makers and students. No selection
everybody has the same chance to sell their work to the general public at
this selling exhibition
Shugborough is a National Trust property, which is administered by
Staffordshire County Council. This 900 acre estate on the edge of Cannock
Chase is the home of Lord Lichfield. The estate features the 18th Century
Mansion House, the Staffordshire County Museum, a Georgian farm with rare
breed exhibitions and historical gardens. Shugborough is located at Milford
near Stafford on the A512 Lichfield to Stafford road, and is 5 miles south of
junction of the M6. The popular visitor/tourist attraction receives over
200,000 visitors per year and is situated within driving distance of
Birmingham, Stoke on Trent, Derby, Nottingham, Leicester and Coventry
The show will be staged in marquees on the exhibition lawn with the Mansion
house as a backdrop. Mains electricity, water and toilet facilities will be
available on site.
