Hi Everyone,
I put forth this question (below) a while back and got several responses,
all the same: to make a clay waster from the same clay batch, and then
fire the upside down cone on the waster.
Just wanted you all to know that I did it and it worked perfectly. THANKS,
all who helped!!! Clay-arters are great.

>I've been making cone-shaped wall vases onto which I later throw a
decorative bottom extension so that it ends up being 14-16 inches long and
pointed at the bottom. When I glaze fire it upside down (of course), the
mouth has a tendency to become distorted.
