Tested on a roughly grogged, mid range stone ware, fired to 1220c. =
oxidation.

Gerstely Borate 13,0 %
Whiting 8,7
Custer Feldspar 60,9
Kaolin 8,7
Flint 8,7
=20
ADD
Red iron oxide 11,5%

Substitutions =20
Colemanite for G.B.
Forshammer for Custer

All amounts were rounded up to the next whole deciml, leaving the RIO as =
11,5.


Results were not promising, but will retest on smoother claybody. =
Similar in color to orignial receipe,
but duller brown. On thickest areas the glaze shows more resemblence to =
G.B. version, with=20
some variance in the browns to black, but none of the white splotches. =
Stable gloss.=20
Applied too thin on too rough a surface to see accurate results. =20
