question for connecticut potters

updated thu 14 nov 02

Next fall (too bad I can't this year) I'd like to plan a trip to Ct. centered
around a show. Preferable in Oct. Figure this way I can see family and
possibly have my expenses paid for by the show. Question is, how do I find
out about the shows in that area? Is there a guide I can purchase, or should
I call the Chamber in each town I can think of? Can any of you recommend
certain shows? Considering the size of Connecticut, any area would be fine.
Thanks.

Lynn in L.A. (lower Alabama)

Check out the Crafts Report webpage (www.craftsreport.com) They have a show
locator by state. And if you end up in Southern CT, check out the Guilford
Handcrafts Center, Creative Artss Workshop in New Haven, and Weslyan Potters in
Middletown.

My husband and I will be in living in the New Haven area for the 2003-04
academic year. If anyone knows of any college or community craft
centers in the area where I could work, would you please email me
off-list with that information? I would also be willing to consider
subletting studio space in the area if that were available. Thanks in
advance for your help,

Lewellyn Betts
