Auction fever hit and now there's a rather large Mendel car kiln in the
driveway of the studio.
looks quite ancient but brickwork, burners, doors, 2 cars and hood all
intact.
Am curious about the history of these kilns.
Is anyone familiar with the manufacturer Mendel?

Haven't been able to locate much info

It looks too strange to be real. Here in Israel, was someone who built
electric kilns , my old kiln was his.The name was Adam Mendel. His kilns
were
exelent. It is hard to believe that he exported them to the U.S.A., My
kiln come from a person who worked for him. I will try to ask him tomorrow
and write again.
You said heavy bricks! very heavy!
