grinding/removing glaze drips

Posted this yesterday, but it didn't seem to get through to the list:

A week or so ago , some one on list was asking about ways to remove
glaze drips

Aside from the all purpose bench grinder,
Another tool (which is currently on my most favorite tool list) is a
good tile saw
It is not only useful for cutting tile but it is good for cutting
greenware and bisqueware,
makes clean cuts on kiln shelves and kiln posts
(great way to restore broken posts)
I've cut fired 3D forms in half this way as well

It can slice through glaze blobs like butter, nice satiny finish on the
cut
(not that any of us ever have any glaze overruns !)
A tile saw is likely too expensive to purchase for this last purpose
alone
but is easy to use , and is good for exact mitering cuts
it has become a very useful addition to the studio
